Last year, when Dani and I were boarding our flight home from Sydney after two months of traveling in Australia and New Zealand, we both had the feeling to say goodbye to this wonderful country for a long time. Maybe forever.
Our highlight last year was of course Claras and Sams wedding we could cover for them and also do a short movie. And this year we got another great chance.
The reason why Dani and I came back to Australia were Georgie and Dan. We got to know this lovely couple last year at Clara and Sams Weddingfest in the outback of Melbourne. And this year a very important day for them was to come.
Destination weddings. Yes we do.
At the beginning of the chat-conversation between Dan and me we did not take their inquiry too serious, it felt like a joke. But Dani and I were very happy about the idea to come back to this beautiful continent and combine traveling with work. And some weeks later the deal of our destination wedding in Australia was fixed. After we got the booking confirmation of our flights we made a happy dance. From that day on it felt absolutely real again.
Australia – our goal 2013
We did over 20 weddings in Austria that year and every single one was a great experience and we are very proud to say that taking emotional pictures of the most beautiful day in other peoples life is our job for living! During the busy summer months we would loved to have a short holiday to recharge our batteries but with the perspective to our Australia road trip we got new energy.
Wedding preparation
One day before the wedding we met each other in the park where the wedding was going to be for a rehearsal. For us it was great to see the venue before and get a better idea of one of the most important tasks on the wedding day. And it felt like meeting good old friends although we didn’t know most of the people. And one important thing – especially in Melbourne – was also sure then: the weather would be sunny and warm. Just perfect for an outdoor-wedding in the park.
Wedding in the Park
After a superior getting ready session with the boys and girls a wonderful wedding ceremony was held in Vincent Garden in the middle of Melbourne, near Albert Park. Georgie and Dan had planned a perfect day. The style and theme of their wedding was color. Georgie looked just awesome in her blue wedding dress and we loved the bridal party in red. The ceremony was very personal with their self written vows and the love of their families and friends. After the congratulations it was time for Party.

And so we changend the location for celebrating their party over to the Smart Artz Gallery. Everything was wonderfully prepared and decorated in color.
After a few funny show acts and speeches from friends and family everyone was ready to party and dance.
Dear Georgie and Dan, we are so proud to have been a part of your wedding day and also that we really felt like friends in your community! Thank you for your trust in our skills and we would love to see you again soon…maybe 2014?
